Direct Support Professional: Responsibilities
Immediate Supervisor: House Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists staff with admitting clients into the program.
- Answers the telephone appropriately.
- Assists individuals with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding).
- Leads individuals in recreational activities.
- Report any physical or behavioral signs that might be important for the QDDP to know.
- Cook meals and prepare snacks for individuals
- Assist individuals with housekeeping activities, which includes laundering and ironing of clothes.
- The incumbent is responsible for the daily supervision and safety of all individuals, including responding to the physical, psychological, medical spiritual, emotional, and developmental needs of each client.
- The incumbent supports and promotes a clean and healthy environment of all individuals.
- Provides written and verbal feedback necessary to plan, develop, implement and further the advancement of each individual.
- Works closely with designated clients to guide and support them in accomplishing behavioral, personal, vocational, educational, and independent living goals.
- The incumbent is required to use the company vehicle to transport clients as needed.
- Attendance at monthly staff meetings is mandatory.
